Muhammad Nami Covers The Top 10 Magazine: 'A Man of Excellence on a Rescue Mission'

Muhammad Mamman Nami is the cover personality of the September 2026 edition of The Top 10 Magazine (Vol. 3, Issue 74), under the title "A Man of Excellence on a Rescue Mission — His Transformation Agenda for Niger State."
The cover story profiles Nami's more than three decades in professional accounting, tax consultancy, institutional reform and public-sector management — a career that took him from private practice to Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), now the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS).
Born in 1968 in Nami village, Agaie Local Government Area of Niger State, he holds a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Bayero University, Kano and a Master's in Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He founded Manam Professional Services, a tax and business advisory firm, and served on the 2017 Presidential Committee on Audit of Recovered Stolen Assets.
As FIRS chairman from December 2019, he led a broad institutional reform programme anchored on the TaxPro-Max digital tax platform, during a period in which the agency recorded significant growth in revenue collection and improvements in Nigeria's tax-to-GDP ratio.
The edition examines the proposition Nami is placing before the people of Niger State as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for 2027 — a transformation agenda centred on financial discipline, agriculture, industrialisation, human-capital development, security, infrastructure and transparent governance.
