2027: INEC Declares Nami As PDP Governorship Candidate In Niger State
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially recognised Malam Muhammad Nami as the PDP governorship candidate for Niger State in its final list of approved candidates for the 6 February 2027 election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially recognised Malam Muhammad Nami as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Niger State.
According to a statement from the Nami Media Directorate issued in Minna, the recognition follows INEC's release of its final list of gubernatorial candidates for the 2027 general election, which names Nami as the PDP's candidate for the governorship poll scheduled for 6 February 2027.
The statement said the development confirms Nami's candidacy and that it is not affected by a recent judgment obtained by INEC at the Supreme Court.
Supporters were urged to collect their Permanent Voter's Cards (PVCs) during INEC's ongoing collection exercise ahead of the election.
