2027: INEC Declares Nami As PDP Governorship Candidate In Niger State
INEC has listed Malam Muhammad Nami as the PDP governorship candidate for Niger State among 15 candidates published for the 6 February 2027 election — a field that includes incumbent Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of the APC.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has listed Malam Muhammad Nami as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Niger State ahead of the 6 February 2027 governorship election.
His name appears among 15 candidates published by INEC at its headquarters — a field that also includes the incumbent, Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
A press statement from the Muhammad Nami Media Directorate, issued in Minna, said the listing showed that Nami is not affected by a recent Supreme Court judgment obtained by INEC, and urged supporters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards during INEC's ongoing collection exercise.
