INEC Confirms Muhammad Nami as PDP Governorship Candidate for Niger State 2027 Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially cleared and published Malam Muhammad Nami as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate for Niger State ahead of the 6 February 2027 general election.

The confirmation appeared in INEC's official release of approved gubernatorial candidates. In a press statement issued in Minna, the Nami Media Directorate said the decision confirms his eligibility and resolves legal uncertainty over his nomination, adding that his nomination remains valid and unaffected by recent Supreme Court judgments.

The directorate also urged residents to take part in INEC's ongoing Permanent Voter Card (PVC) collection exercise ahead of the poll.
